Fun-tastic School Visits |
|
"Did toads REALLY fall from the sky? I want to write and illustrate books, too!" |
These are comments from children after experiencing this fast-paced, funny, and fact-filled program. Best-selling illustrator/author Heidi Petach is uniquely qualified to present this interdisciplinary show. From fractured fairy tales to fun-filled science books, this captivating presentation unleashes creativity in a number of areas.
|
Included is a trip to Mrs. Petach's publisher in a special behind-the-scenes view of how a book is made. The show concludes with a Q/A period. The assemblies last 40-55 minutes, depending on age. A quick drawing demo can be made, if a sturdy easel is provided.

Requirements:
- Meeting area that can be darkened considerably
- Large screen
- PC or Mac laptop computer (with CD and DVD entry slot) set up with a video projector for a PowerPoint presentation*
- Microphone, table, chair, and water
|
|
| *I can bring my laptop and a high res video projector as backups, but it takes a while to set up. I'd prefer spending that time interacting with the children or signing books, if possible. |
Two or three school assembly shows (determined by children's ages) is the preferred way of presenting. Two assemblies are $600; three are $850. If farther than 60 min. from Cincinnati, travel expenses and lodging may apply.
